How we count your age in days
Your age in days is the number of days from your date of birth to today. The day you were born is day zero, so a baby is 1 day old the day after birth. Leap days are included: every February 29 since your birth adds one day.
Example: born May 14, 1990. On November 6, 2026 that's 13,325 days, or 1,903 weeks and 4 days.
Day-count milestones worth celebrating
- 10,000 days: about 27 years and 4½ months. Some people celebrate their 10,000th day with a party.
- 1 billion seconds: about 31 years and 8 months (11,574 days, 1 hour, 46 minutes and 40 seconds).
- 20,000 days: about 54 years and 9 months.
- 30,000 days: about 82 years and 2 months.
The list in the calculator shows the exact date of each one for your birthday, and how long until the next.
Days, weeks or years?
Days are handy for milestones and countdowns. For babies, weeks are more common; try the age in weeks calculator or the baby age calculator. For forms and documents, use your age in years, months and days from the age calculator.
